Peace by Piece is a community-supported art project that uses flatbed and digital knitting machines to create a collaborative textile installation, made by many hands, united in purpose.

Through a series of hands-on workshops, participants of all ages and backgrounds will learn the craft of machine knitting. Each person will create a unique knitted piece inspired by the colors, textures and patterns that reflect how they experience God’s presence in their lives.

The individual pieces will be joined into a larger knitted artwork — a collective expression of faith, creativity and community. The project will culminate in a multi-campus exhibit featuring the final installation, documentary footage, participant portraits and live knitting demonstrations.
